Milestones
1972
Saudi Chemical Company was formed as a joint venture
company between Nitro Nobel AB Sweden and private Saudi investors.
1974
The company started to manufacture ANFO (PRILLEX).
1984
The company started to manufacture KEMULEX, a modern and efficient emulsion explosive.
1990
The company started production of shock tube initiation system SANEL, the latest in technology of initiation systems.
1998
On April 22, 1998, the company converted from a limited liability company to a joint stock company.
1999
The company became ISO 9002 certified and in 2002, it became ISO 9001:2000 certified, further enhancing and confirming its commitment to quality in all aspects.
2001
On May, 2001, Saudi Chemical Company’s Shares were listed in Saudi Stock Market (Tadawul).
2004
New production line was run under license from Austin International for
ENVIROSEIS, the most advanced in technology and safety in seismic explosives.
ENVIROSEIS is approved by Saudi Aramco, for supply to Saudi Aramco´s Seismic exploration projects.
